AML STC SA01714WI Revision 24 approves GTX 3X5 main software 2.90 and ADS-B software 3.62.
Garmin Service Bulletin 26091A provides the Part 23 approval path for GTX 3X5(R) transponders installed under ADS-B AML STC SA01714WI. Master Data List Revision 24 approves GTX 3X5 main software version 2.90 and ADS-B software version 3.62, with compliance optional at the owner’s discretion.
What the Software Update Adds
Main software 2.90 adds AXIS Flight Display interface support and improves the robustness of existing interface formats. ADS-B software 3.62 adds AXIS support, improves traffic aural-alert robustness, strengthens Bluetooth connections with Apple products and improves traffic-target handling so the most relevant targets remain prioritized even when many targets are being tracked.
Labor and Return-to-Service Requirements
Garmin identifies one hour of labor per unit. Before return to service, the owner/operator must receive the applicable GTX 33X/3X5 ADS-B AFMS Revision 6 and the STC SA01714WI maintenance manual/ICA Revision 8 if those documents have not already been provided. The current GTX 3X5 Series Pilot’s Guide Revision G also applies.
Applicability and Dealer Installation
This bulletin is specifically for affected Part 23 installations under SA01714WI and states that implementation is through Garmin’s authorized dealer and service-center network.
